Frank Skoviera TN Story
Frank and Mary Ellen Skoviera Request for help
Dear Family and Friends,
As you may, or may not know, Fran(k) has been suffering with Trigeminal Neuropathic Facial Pain since 2001. Most times, he suffers quietly in the comfort of his own home as speaking and other activities/factors exasperate the condition.
Trigeminal Neuralgia and Neuropathic Facial Pain have been identified as the “worst pain known to mankind.” We’ve been to Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Dentists, Oral Surgeons, Chiropractors, and Facial Pain Clinics.
Alternative therapies such as Acupuncture, Massage, and Cranioscrial Therapy have also been tried, with no relief from the 24x7 pain.
Thousands of people around the globe suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia and Chronic Facial Pain.
We recently learned of a research team that is conducting extensive research to combat this horrific disease.
The team is committed to finding a cure by 2020!!
This is very hopeful as most therapies we have tried have not helped. Some treatments have actually intensified the pain. The only known treatment at this time for this type of Neuropathic Pain is a regimen of anti-epileptic drugs; all of which have serious side effects.
The Facial Pain Research Foundation was established by Dr. Michael Pasternak who has also suffered from Trigeminal Neuralgia. Dr. Pasternak has assembled some of the best research scientists in the world to solve the problem of Trigeminal Nerve Pain Diseases. In fact, the same science being researched for Trigeminal Nerve Pain can also be applied to solving other serious conditions like damaged nerves from chemotherapy, and Phantom Limb Pain. You can learn more about Michael, this disease, and discussions by the Research Scientists at the Facial Pain Research Foundation
Please consider helping by passing this email to your family, friends, and business associates.
