The Facial Pain Research Foundation, which aims to turn a page in history by finding a cure for the world’s most excruciating pain. Its founders purpose is to reach this goal within the decade of 2011-2020. But they can’t do this without the help of funding. You can help by making a tax deductible donation right now to the Facial Pain Research Foundation which all staff are volunteers, so every dollar goes to research for saliva kits, DNA extractions, Phenotyping and genotyping cost. To make donations follow this link to The Facial Pain Research Foundation and please share with your family and friends.

October 7th is one of the most important days of our campaign and what a better day than to have a online fundraiser for the Facial Pain Research Foundation! I will be campaigning throughout all social media channel to bring awareness and promoting funding for research for TN & Facial Pain Disorders.

Brenda Sharp's motorcycle club is riding to 2 sites that are lighting up teal. First we will visit the Pelham Arches in Fonthill Ontario to have a photo opportunity with the Mayor who has granted a Proclamation naming oct 7th International Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day, then ride to the Welland Bridge in Welland, Ontario

Google the local TV stations and find the name of the station general manager and also see if they have a health segment. You should find email addresses and phone numbers. I did this and emailed the GM and also found the email to the health topic segment. I got an email back from the GM and then the producer of the health segment inviting me to come on air and tell my story and what TN Awareness Day is all about. I included a little of my story, what TN is and the web address of Tnnme and the Facial Pain Research site. My interview will air on Oct 7 on NBC local station out of our state capital. So the range of viewers is pretty much state wide. Good luck!
Update 9/14/2016: Show Cancelled:
I am going to release teal balloons with the names of some of my dearest friends with TN written on them. They will also have a slogan about TN Awareness Day though not sure which hashtag yet. I did this last year and posted pictures. Will do that too. My pain center is going to put up our poster! I hope to be able to post a picture of the PA I see along with the poster and me. She said she will wear teal for us! Raleigh Neurology Pain Center!

Awareness leads to funding, funding leads to research, and research leads to CURES.
This is me, making you all aware. Share this post and you can make someone aware of Trigeminal Neuralgia too!
